Even though changing your bed sheets can be a drag at times, it is very necessary to completely change them at least once every week. The reason that this is very important is that not doing so can actually put your health in danger. Your sheets can accumulate many things that you cannot see. For example; thousands of dead skin cells, dust mites, and even more. So not washing your bedding could expose you to fungi, bacteria, pollen, or animal dander. You might even be at risk of developing eczema in these conditions.
When you do wash your bedding, it’s crucial to use very hot water. That high temperature kills more bacteria and allergens. The hotter the water, the more it kills. Additionally, try to hang your bedding out in the sun if possible. Sunlight is naturally antimicrobial and also kills pests such as mites.
