When moving an appliance that is connected to water, you should first turn off the water supply, since a hose could get snagged or pulled loose if it gets caught on something.
If you can access the water connections, you should regularly examine them for wear and replace them when necessary. In some cases, such as with your washer hose, it might be a good idea to preemptively replace the hose with a higher quality version. Often the hoses supplied with your washer aren’t the best quality.
